GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS
Manuscript submission
All manuscripts should be sent to the legal medicine section editor Giovanni Cannavò info@melchiorregioia.it or to the dentistry section editor Daniele Manfredini daniele.manfredini@tin.it .
Review/Editing of manuscripts
Manuscripts will normally be reviewed by the editor-in-chief and by at least two external reviewers who are recognized as international authorities or qualified experts within the scope of the article. The publisher reserves the right to edit accepted manuscripts to ensure conciseness, clarity, and stylistic consistency, subject to the authors’ final approval.
Manuscripts not prepared in accordance with the following guidelines will be returned to the author before review. Italian-language manuscripts (with an English-language abstract) will also be accepted for review and publication under the editorial board’s decision.
MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION
The Archives of Legal Medicine and Dentistry will follow the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (Vancouver Group) in regard to preparation of manuscripts and authorship (Uniform requirements for manuscripts submitted to biomedical journals. Ann Intern Med 1997; 126: 36-47). Manuscripts submitted for publication should contain a statement to the effect that all human studies have been reviewed by the ethics committee and have been performed in accordance with the standards of the 1964 Declaration of Helsinki, and it should be clearly stated that all the persons gave the informed consent prior the inclusion in the study. Should be omitted any details that may disclose the identity of the subjects under study.
Manuscripts should be double-spaced with 2.54 centimeters margin all around. All pages must be progressively numbered.
Title page. This should include the title of the article (descriptive but as concise as possible) and the name, degrees, title, professional affiliation and full address of all authors. Phone, fax and e-mail address must also be provided for the corresponding author, who will be assumed to be the first-listed author unless otherwise specified. Up to five authors are allowed for clinical articles and up to three authors for review articles.
